Indication: Lypressin is analog to the synthetic vasopressin that is used as the antidiuretic which can control of polydipsia, polyuria, and dehydration associated with diabetes insipidus. It augments the water reabsorption in the kidney by increasing the cellular permeability of the collecting ducts, which decrease the urine volume output.

Possible side effects: There are some side effects such as headache, irritation, nasal congestion, hypersensitivity reactions, vertigo, sweating, cramp, low blood level of sodium.

Precautions: Do not use, if you allergic to any of the drug composition or vasopressin.

Interaction: Inform your doctor or Pharmacist if you use other drugs or supplements. Do not use Lypressin with Carbamazepine, Chlorpropamide, or Clofibrate since it lead to increasing of diuretic effect. Do not use Lypressin with Demeclocycline, Lithium,or Norepinephrine, it may decrease the effectiveness of Lypressin.
